How do I know when jobs are open?

Job vacancies are listed on our website at New jobs are posted when an opening occurs and are posted for at leastfive working days. You may also be alerted by email when new vacanciesare posted by signing up for job alerts.

How do I apply for a job?

View job listing. Click here.Once you find a job you would like to apply for simply click on thetitle of the job (e.g. "Maintenance Technician"). Then you will review adescription of the job and click on the Apply for This Position button.At this point you will either need to login to an existing account youhave already created or create a new account. To create a new accountclick on Create A New Account And Apply For This Position button. Then answer the on-screen questions to create an account. You must complete all required fields and click the Save and Submit buttonat the end of the application. When your application is successfullysubmitted, you will receive a Confirmation Number. You can use thisconfirmation number to reference a specific application.

Can I save my incomplete application and return to complete it at a later time?

Yes. You may logout of your application at any time and return later.When you are ready to complete your application, enter your username andpassword and you will be allowed to continue your application if thejob posting is still open.

How do I check the status of my application?

First log into your account and then click on the Application Statustab. If you have already applied for a job it will be listed under theCurrent Applications section. If you want to view additional detailsabout the job you applied for click on the Details link associated withthe job. If you have applied for jobs in the past that have been filled,it will be listed in the Previous Applications section.

How will I found out when the position I have applied for has been filled?

If you have applied for a specific open position you will receive notice via an email when that position has been filled.

How long is my application kept on file?

One year. You must reactivate your application online each year to beconsidered for a position. If you question whether you application isstill active, contact Central Office at (816) 630-9200 ext. 1002.

How many years of teaching experience can I bring to Excelsior Springs School District?

You can receive credit on the salary schedule for up to 19 years of teaching experience.

How do I apply for an administrator position?

When administrator positions are posted, contact the AdministrativeAssistant to the Superintendent at (816) 630-9200 ext. 1101 to receivethe specific application for the position.
