Dr. Jenni Hayes named Cornerstone Elementary Principal
Excelsior Springs School District Announces New Principal at Cornerstone Elementary
The Excelsior Springs School District is proud to announce Dr. Jenni Hayes as the next Principal of Cornerstone Elementary for the upcoming school year.
Dr. Hayes brings more than 20 years of experience in education, including 13 years as an elementary principal. She earned her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Central Missouri State University, a Master’s in Elementary Administration from the University of Central Missouri, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri.
She began her career teaching first grade and kindergarten in the Lafayette County C-1 School District, where her passion for early learning and student relationships took root. In 2013, she transitioned into school leadership and has since led a strong school community, while also contributing to education beyond her building. Dr. Hayes has served with the Missouri Leadership Academy for over a decade and represented Missouri at the national level through the National Association of Elementary School Principals. Her commitment to leadership development and service to others has been a hallmark of her career.
When asked about joining the district, Dr. Hayes shared:
“I am honored and excited to serve as the principal of Cornerstone Elementary. I look forward to building on the district’s strong tradition of excellence while working alongside dedicated staff, supportive families, and incredible students. Together, we will continue to foster a positive, engaging, and high-achieving learning environment. I am excited to connect with the community and proudly become a Tiger!”
