Mrs. Jesscia Broadbent named Middle School Assistant Principal

The Excelsior Springs School District is proud to announce that Cornerstone Elementary Principal Mrs. Jessica Broadbent will transition to serve as Assistant Principal at Excelsior Springs Middle School for the upcoming school year.
Mrs. Broadbent has been a dedicated member of the Westview and Cornerstone Elementary community, serving as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and, for the past three years, principal of Cornerstone Elementary. Her leadership has played an important role in fostering a positive school culture, supporting staff, and ensuring high levels of learning for students.
We are grateful for Mrs. Broadbent’s significant impact at Cornerstone and are excited for this transition, which allows her to continue serving the district in a new capacity while also supporting her professional and family priorities.
When asked about this transition, Mrs. Broadbent shared:
“Over the past 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving the Westview/Cornerstone Elementary community in a variety of roles, including the past three years as principal. Leading Cornerstone has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my career and work that I care deeply about.
As my family has grown, I’ve reflected on how to best balance school leadership with being present at home. Transitioning to the role of Assistant Principal at the middle school allows me to continue supporting students, staff, and families while creating more space for my family during this important season of life.
I am incredibly grateful to the Excelsior Springs community, which has meant so much to me both personally and professionally. I look forward to continuing to serve this district and am excited for this next chapter at the middle school.”
We are thankful for Mrs. Broadbent’s leadership at Cornerstone Elementary and look forward to the experience, care, and dedication she will bring to Excelsior Springs Middle School.
Please join us in thanking Mrs. Broadbent for her service to Cornerstone and wishing her well in this next chapter.
